TEENAGER'S INSANE SPEED RUN: Passengers STUFFED in the TRUNK?!

TEENAGER'S INSANE SPEED RUN: Passengers STUFFED in the TRUNK?!

A routine Sunday night on Highway 406 turned into a shocking discovery for Ontario Provincial Police. A vehicle was clocked traveling at a breathtaking 202 kilometers per hour – nearly double the posted 110 km/h speed limit. The reckless speed caught the attention of the OPP Highway Safety Division, leading to a traffic stop near Highway 20 around 8:20 p.m.

The initial stop revealed four passengers inside the car, but the situation quickly escalated as officers prepared the vehicle for towing. A hidden compartment yielded an unbelievable sight: two additional individuals crammed into the trunk. The cramped and dangerous conditions underscored the sheer disregard for safety exhibited by the driver.

The 17-year-old driver, a G2 license holder from Welland, now faces a barrage of charges. These include stunt driving due to excessive speed, careless driving, violating passenger restrictions for novice drivers, failing to surrender a permit, and lacking proof of insurance. The driver’s identity and the passengers’ genders have not been released.

The consequences were swift and severe. The vehicle, belonging to the driver’s father, was immediately impounded for 14 days. Simultaneously, the driver’s license was suspended for 30 days, a stark reminder of the risks associated with reckless driving. This incident serves as a chilling example of the potential for tragedy on our highways.

Meanwhile, in Toronto, a different kind of deception unfolded. A 50-year-old man from Markham has been arrested and charged in connection with a complex fraud investigation that began last August.

The suspect, identified as Neilay Modi, allegedly presented himself as a private investor operating under the names 10000272 Canada Inc. and Norstar Financial Security. He lured victims with promises of lucrative returns on their investments, creating a facade of financial opportunity.

Neilay Modi, 50, of Markham, is accused of fraud.

Modi allegedly claimed to be using the investment returns to purchase vacant land, but investigators believe this was a fabricated story. Victims never received the promised returns, and Modi is accused of providing false documentation to conceal his fraudulent activities.

Following his arrest on March 3rd, Modi faces a total of eleven charges: four counts of fraud over $5,000, four counts of possession of proceeds obtained by crime, and three counts of forgery. Authorities believe there may be additional, undiscovered victims of this alleged scheme.

Police are urging anyone with information related to this case to come forward. Individuals can contact the Toronto Police Service at 416-808-1100 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477). The investigation remains ongoing, seeking to uncover the full extent of the alleged fraud and bring justice to those affected.
