While Wilson wheeled away in celebration, VAR official Darren England flagged the incident for review.
The replays showed a tangle of arms in a crowded six-yard box, leading Kavanagh to conclude that the goalkeeper had been fouled. “After review, West Ham No. 19 commits a foul on the goalkeeper,” the referee announced to a chorus of boos.
