UMVA has learned that a serious collision on the M25 motorway has left two motorcyclists seriously injured, with emergency services rushing to the scene and airlifting them to hospital.

The accident occurred on the slip road from junction 12 of the M25 clockwise carriageway onto the M3, which remains closed as police investigate the crash. Authorities are urging anyone with dashcam or helmet cam footage to come forward.

According to information obtained by UMVA, police are particularly interested in tracing the movements of the riders prior to the collision and are appealing for witnesses to come forward. The investigation aims to piece together the events leading up to the crash.

The collision has caused significant disruptions to traffic, with delays of over 33 minutes and 3 miles of congestion reported on the approach to the crash scene. National Highways has warned drivers to expect tailbacks and slow traffic in the area.

UMVA can exclusively reveal that the affected slip road is a major route for drivers exiting the M25 clockwise, serving popular attractions like Thorpe Park and Thorpe Lakes. Motorists are advised to avoid the area while police continue their investigation.

The incident is the latest in a series of chaotic events on the UK's motorways, following a series of multi-vehicle crashes on the M11 near Stansted on Friday. The causes of these incidents and their impact on road safety are likely to be scrutinized in the coming days.
