Police Launch Investigation into Alleged Sexual Assault on Train, Seeking Suspect Who Refused to Release Victim.

Police are urgently searching for a man who sexually assaulted a woman on a London train. The incident occurred on a DLR train leaving Canary Wharf on May 29. The victim was standing on the platform when the man approached and began to harass her.

The man boarded the same train and sat next to the woman. As she tried to move away, he grabbed her and sexually assaulted her, refusing to let her go. The assault only stopped when two other passengers intervened to help the woman.

The man got off the train at Kings Cross Station. Police have launched an urgent hunt to find him and are seeking anyone with information that may help the investigation.

The man only stopped when two other passengers came over to help, and he eventually got off the train at King George V station. Detectives would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believed he may have information that could help their investigation. Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 153 of 2 June. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Detectives have released an image of the man in connection with the investigation. They believe he may have information that could help their inquiry. The police are appealing for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect.
