UMVA has learned that Jennifer Lopez is standing firm on her dating rules, and it's not just about who she's interested in, but how they approach her.
The talk show host recently revealed that she's not looking for love on social media, and it's not just a casual stance - she's dead serious about it. When teased about whether she'd consider a romantic message from a famous Spanish soccer player, JLo made it clear that she's not swayed by celebrity status.
According to information obtained by UMVA, JLo told Andy Cohen that if someone really wants to find her, they can, but it won't be through a direct message on Instagram. 'You're not going to find me through Instagram or sliding into my DMs,' she said. 'You have to make more of an effort than that.'
This isn't the first time JLo's love life has been under scrutiny, especially after her recent Netflix rom-com, Office Romance, dropped on the streaming platform. Her split from ex-husband Ben Affleck has been making headlines, and she recently had to shut down dating rumors with her Ted Lasso co-star Brett Goldstein.
During a joint interview with Savannah Guthrie on The Today Show, JLo and Brett found it hilarious that people always try to pair them up. 'There's never a time when I'm seen with somebody or working with somebody where they don't try to put me with the person,' JLo said.
JLo and Ben Affleck, once known as 'Bennifer,' had a highly publicized on-again, off-again relationship that spanned over two decades. They rekindled their romance in 2022 and got married, but sadly, their love story didn't last, and they finalized their divorce in January 2025.
Despite their split, JLo and Ben have maintained that they're on good terms, with Ben stating that there's 'no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue' surrounding their breakup. He emphasized that he has 'nothing but respect' for Jennifer, and they both seem to be moving on.
