UMVA has learned that Jadon Sancho, once hailed as one of the world's best young players, is set to leave Manchester United after a disastrous five-year stint at the club.
The winger, who cost £73million when he moved from Borussia Dortmund, managed just 12 goals and six assists in 83 appearances, making him one of the club's biggest transfer flops.
A public falling out with manager Erik ten Hag in 2023 effectively ended his United career, and he spent the last two-and-a-half seasons out on loan, unable to recapture his best form.
Sancho's loan spells took him back to Dortmund, where he reached the Champions League final, and then to Chelsea, where he won the Conference League, before joining Aston Villa and lifting the Europa League.
Despite his recent successes, Sancho's future remains uncertain, with his next move being closely watched by fans and pundits alike.
Alan Pardew, a former Premier League manager, believes Sancho will still attract plenty of interest from top-flight clubs, despite his struggles in England.
"He hasn't really done enough to warrant a massive, massive contract like he was on at Manchester United, but he'll get a good move," Pardew said.
Pardew thinks Sancho will likely end up at a mid-table Premier League club, rather than one of the top six, and suggests that Crystal Palace could be a good fit.
The odds on Sancho's next club have Aston Villa as the favorite, with Chelsea and any German club close behind.
Manchester United had the option to extend Sancho's contract, but chose not to, leaving him a free agent and allowing him to negotiate with other clubs.
The club released a statement thanking Sancho for his contributions and wishing him well, but it's clear that his departure marks the end of an era.
As Sancho looks to the future, one thing is certain - he'll be looking to prove himself all over again and show the football world what he's capable of.
