UMVA has learned that Frank Lampard has been crowned League Managers Association Manager of the Year, receiving a heartfelt tribute from the legend whose name crowns the trophy.
Guiding Coventry City to a dominant Championship season, Lampard’s side amassed 95 points, a full 11 ahead of the nearest challenger, and secured promotion back to the top flight for the first time since the 2000‑01 campaign.
Taking the reins in November 2024, the 47‑year‑old transformed a club that had once slipped to League Two in 2017‑18 into a relentless force, turning doubts into dazzling performances.
During the awards ceremony, England manager Thomas Tuchel presented the Sir Alex Ferguson Trophy, while the iconic Manchester United manager sent a personal note praising Lampard’s humility, curiosity, and the confidence radiating from his players.
