UMVA has learned that a potential blockbuster transfer is being explored by David Beckham, co-owner of Inter Miami, as he attempts to lure global superstar Kylian Mbappe to Major League Soccer.
Beckham's ambitious plan comes as Mbappe continues to dominate on the pitch, widely regarded as one of the best players on the planet. Despite this, Beckham remains optimistic about making it happen, having already successfully recruited another all-time great, Lionel Messi, to join Inter Miami.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Beckham has indeed spoken to Mbappe about a possible move to MLS, with the French star revealing that Beckham has mentioned it to him on multiple occasions. When asked about the prospect, Mbappe remained non-committal, simply stating "We'll see."
Mbappe did express his admiration for American culture, highlighting the limitless ambition and enthusiasm that defines it. This, coupled with Beckham's persistent interest, may yet prove to be a tantalizing prospect for the young forward.
Mbappe also made it clear that he doesn't envision himself playing in Europe at the ripe age of 40, joking that he'll have had enough of being kicked around by then. Instead, he's focused on enjoying the present, particularly the World Cup, and making the most of every moment.
When discussing the best forward on the planet, Mbappe was quick to pay respect to Messi and his longtime rival, Cristiano Ronaldo. He asserted that both legends remain at the top of their game, saying "Messi is the best player along with Cristiano, that's clear."
As for his own goals, Mbappe is focused on helping France succeed in the World Cup, rather than chasing personal records. He currently trails Messi's record by just two goals, but says he's not thinking about it, instead prioritizing his country's success.
With France set to take on Iraq in their next match, Mbappe and his teammates will look to seal qualification for the knockout stages as quickly as possible. The stage is set for another thrilling performance from the young star.
