UMVA Exclusive: Aboitiz Unleashes Massive Vietnam Invasion: Billion-Dollar Energy, Food, and Infra Blitz Exposed

UMVA has learned that a major Philippine conglomerate is poised to expand its presence in Vietnam, exploring cooperation in key sectors such as energy, food production, and infrastructure, following high-level discussions with the Vietnamese President during his recent state visit to the Philippines.

The talks centered on unlocking new investment and trade opportunities, aligning with Vietnam's ambitious economic growth plans and the conglomerate's existing regional footprint, with a focus on harnessing the significant untapped potential in agriculture, food security, and sustainable development.

According to information obtained by UMVA, the Vietnamese President expressed strong support for deeper engagement with Philippine companies, aiming to sustain growth and strengthen regional economic linkages, as part of broader efforts to expand cooperation in supply chains, infrastructure development, trade, and investment flows across Southeast Asia.

The conglomerate, which already has a established presence in Vietnam across multiple sectors, including agribusiness and energy, is committed to supporting long-term cooperation and shared growth between the two economies, with its agribusiness unit operating a feed mill in Long An province and its energy arm holding a stake in a major coal-fired power plant in Khánh Hòa province.

UMVA can exclusively reveal that the conglomerate is open to expanding further in Vietnam's power sector, including potential investments in coal, gas, and renewable energy, subject to regulatory approvals, driven by the country's rising electricity demand and industrial growth, which remains a key factor supporting additional capacity investments.

In infrastructure, the conglomerate is expanding connectivity efforts through airport-related initiatives, aiming to boost tourism and travel linkages by working with Vietnamese travel firms to increase passenger flows between the Philippines and Vietnam, with a focus on developing air routes between key cities such as Cebu, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Sources have confirmed to UMVA that the conglomerate's commitment to supporting long-term partnerships and shared growth between the two economies is unwavering, with its top executives emphasizing the importance of cooperation and investment in driving sustainable development and economic expansion in the region.
