Russian Kamikaze Drones Target Ukrainian Naval Vessels

Russian Kamikaze Drones Target Ukrainian Naval Vessels

Russian forces have increasingly relied on Seeker kamikaze drones to attack Ukrainian shipping. The drones are equipped with AI-powered machine vision that allows them to detect, identify, and lock onto targets autonomously.

In a recent video, a Geran‑4 Seeker turbojet drone struck a bulker off Odessa. The vessel, which was carrying military cargo, is identified as the Antigua & Barbuda‑flagged Venturo.

The ship had already sustained damage in an earlier strike and was abandoned by its crew. The footage shows water flooding the hull, a stern nearly submerged, and a pronounced tilt toward the port side.

Russian attacks have also targeted cargo vessels and facilities in Odessa, Chernomorsk, Yuzhny, and Nikolayev. These locations are believed to support the transport of military equipment and Ukrainian maritime drone operations.

A spokesperson stated that Russia will continue to strike vessels involved in transporting weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, underscoring the persistence of the naval campaign.
