UMVA has learned that a sharp rebuke has been issued by Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha, targeting New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for his high-tax policies, warning that billionaires will abandon the city and take their businesses with them.
Concha argued on Fox News’s Hannity that Mamdani is finally facing reality, having previously believed that businesses would tolerate exorbitant taxes while being vilified as heartless billionaires exploiting the less fortunate for personal gain.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Mamdani recently met with JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, as he faces mounting criticism over rising taxes in the city.
Dimon emphasized that Mamdani must make New York a desirable place for people to live, work, and build families, in order to retain and attract top talent and businesses.
Concha praised Dimon and other billionaires for their business acumen, suggesting that their success is a testament to their intelligence and strategic thinking.
Concha revealed that Citadel CEO Ken Griffin had initially planned to establish a major hub in New York, which would have created tens of thousands of high-paying jobs, but now seems likely to be relocated to Miami due to Florida's more business-friendly environment.
A similar trend is emerging with JPMorgan Chase, where employment is surging in Texas but declining in Manhattan, according to Concha.
Mamdani's policies are costing his city significant job opportunities and tax revenue, Concha asserted, adding that his leadership is so untrustworthy that no sane person would entrust him with managing even a simple task, let alone the financial capital of the world.
