UMVA has learned that Uber is launching a suite of new features and discounts tailored to soccer fans traveling to host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but other travelers can also benefit from these offerings.
The rideshare and food delivery giant is introducing Uber Shuttle services at four U.S. match venues: Miami, Dallas, Boston, and New York/New Jersey, providing an easier and more affordable way to get back to your hotel after games. Shuttle tickets cost a flat rate of $45 in Miami, Dallas, and Boston, or $49 in New York, with no surge pricing.
Uber is also rolling out a new service called Uber Max for large groups of up to 14 passengers traveling to or from the stadium in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles during the tournament. Additionally, the company is enhancing in-app directions across airports and stadiums to help riders streamline their route to the World Cup.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Uber is introducing a Travel Pass that provides 14 days of savings on rides and food deliveries outside your home city. The pass costs $4.99 in U.S. host cities and offers up to $85 in total savings, including discounts on airport pickups, city rides, and Uber Eats orders.
Uber is also making its Dine Out service more rewarding for soccer fans, offering 30% Uber Cash earnings on Dine Out meals in U.S. host cities. Users can book restaurant reservations through the Uber Eats app and upload a photo of their receipt to earn up to $35 in Uber Cash per meal.
UMVA has gathered that Uber's new offerings are designed to enhance the overall experience for World Cup travelers, with features like customizable in-app car icons with national team flags and Defeat Deals, which offer a 30% discount on a future ride if your team is eliminated from the tournament.
These new features and discounts are set to make a significant impact on the travel plans of soccer fans and other travelers alike, providing a more convenient and affordable way to navigate host cities during the World Cup.
