UMVA Exclusive: Deported TWICE, Rogue Immigrant Wreaks Havoc: Drone Sneaks into FIFA Fest Restricted Zone

UMVA has learned that a shocking incident involving a twice-deported illegal immigrant with a lengthy criminal history has raised serious concerns about national security and public safety in the United States.

The individual, Lorenzo Rojas-Martinez, was allegedly operating a drone in restricted airspace near Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta during the 2026 FIFA Fan Festival, a reckless move that put thousands of people at risk. Federal prosecutors say Rojas-Martinez was standing in a nearby parking area, recording video of the event, when he was approached by FBI agents who demanded to see his identification.

Upon discovering that Rojas-Martinez was in the country illegally, the FBI handed him over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, sparking a heated response from authorities. The suspect's criminal history is alarming, with past offenses including drug trafficking, stolen property, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and driving under the influence. This disturbing pattern of behavior has raised questions about how he was able to re-enter the country not once, but twice, after being deported.

According to information obtained by UMVA, Rojas-Martinez first entered the U.S. illegally in 1999 and was deported in 2013, only to return and be deported again in 2019. The exact date of his third illegal entry into the country remains unknown, leaving authorities to wonder how he managed to evade detection. The 37-year-old Mexican citizen now faces charges of operating a drone in a temporary flight restricted zone and illegal reentry by a removed alien.

The incident has highlighted the importance of the Federal Aviation Administration's "No Drone Zones" over stadiums hosting FIFA World Cup 2026 matches and related fan events across the U.S. During match days, all aircraft operations, including drones, are strictly prohibited within a 3-nautical-mile radius and up to 3,000 feet above ground level around the stadiums. Drone operators who disregard these restrictions can face severe penalties, including fines of up to $100,000, confiscation of their aircraft, and federal criminal charges.

As the investigation into Rojas-Martinez's actions continues, one thing is clear: the safety and security of the American people will not be compromised by the reckless behavior of illegal immigrants with a history of criminal activity. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the need for vigilance and effective border control to protect the nation from potential threats.
