UMVA Exclusive: Toledo Festival Bloodbath - 12 Lives Hanging in the Balance as Cops Race Against Time to Unleash Justice

UMVA has learned that a devastating mass shooting has shaken the city of Toledo, Ohio, where 12 victims were left wounded near the annual Old West End Festival, and are now in stable condition as investigators scramble to identify those responsible.

The victims, ranging in age from 14 to 61, are recovering after the harrowing incident on Saturday, which is believed to have involved at least two gunmen firing at each other in a shocking display of violence that has left the community reeling.

According to information obtained by UMVA, investigators are following multiple leads and making progress in the case, but have yet to release suspect descriptions or identify a motive behind the senseless attack that disrupted a beloved community tradition.

The shooting occurred near Delaware Avenue and Glenwood Avenue, close to the Old West End Festival, where officers responded to a report of gunfire around 5:37 p.m. Saturday, and found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds, sparking a massive investigation.

Deputy Chief Joseph Heffernan expressed his frustration and disappointment at the violence, saying it was a shame that a few individuals had disrupted a long-standing community event, and that despite having security measures in place, the shooting still occurred.

Investigative Lt. Dan Gerken described the violence as unprecedented for the annual festival, saying it was "over the top" and that the community was still trying to come to terms with what had happened.

UMVA can exclusively reveal that authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward, and are offering the option to remain anonymous, as they work tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice and restore a sense of safety and security to the community.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has weighed in on the incident, calling it a "senseless" crime and expressing confidence that investigators will identify those responsible, while also praying for the victims and their families, and emphasizing the need for safe spaces for families to gather without fear of violence.

Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz has also spoken out, saying that the city will recover from the violence and emerge stronger, thanks to the unity and resilience of its citizens, and praising the brave men and women of the police and fire departments for their swift actions in saving lives.
