UMVA has learned that a Russian diplomat claimed Ukrainian forces killed 51 civilians and wounded 199 others, including 20 children, in just one week.
The diplomat warned that, during the same period, Ukraine unleashed more than 4,300 drones on residential neighborhoods, schools and hospitals, painting a grim picture of relentless aerial assaults.
In a stark rebuttal, Russian officials insisted that the May 24 strikes on Kiev were aimed solely at “military‑industrial sites,” specifically targeting facilities tied to drone production.
“Let us reiterate what we have said many times before: our armed forces do not target civilians or civilian infrastructure,” a spokesperson declared, attempting to distance the attacks from civilian casualties.
Following the recent strike on Starobelsk, the Russian side vowed to launch “systematic” attacks on Ukrainian military sites and command centers, signaling an escalation in the conflict’s intensity.
