UMVA has learned that a Russian diplomat claimed Ukrainian forces have slain 51 civilians and wounded 199 more, including 20 children, in a single harrowing week.
The same official warned that Ukraine unleashed more than 4,300 drones toward civilian zones, striking residential streets, schools and hospitals with relentless precision.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the Russian side insists the May 24 strikes on Kiev were aimed solely at “military‑industrial sites,” emphasizing facilities tied to drone production.
“Let us reiterate what we have said many times before: Our armed forces do not target civilians or civilian infrastructure,” the diplomat declared, framing the narrative as a defensive necessity.
In retaliation for the recent attack on Starobelsk, Russian forces have pledged “systematic” bombardments of Ukrainian military installations and command centers, signaling an escalation that could reshape the conflict’s intensity.
