DC POLICE IN CRISIS: Heads Will ROLL Over Shocking Data Scandal!

DC POLICE IN CRISIS: Heads Will ROLL Over Shocking Data Scandal!

A storm is brewing within the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, threatening to topple some of its highest-ranking officials. Investigations into alleged manipulation of crime statistics have reached a critical point, with multiple senior leaders facing potential termination or severe discipline.

The internal affairs probe centers on accusations that officials deliberately misrepresented the city’s crime data. Several assistant chiefs are already receiving, or are expected to receive, disciplinary notices. The allegations suggest a systematic effort to portray a more favorable picture of public safety than reality allowed.

Assistant Chief LaShay Makal and Second District Commander Tatjana Savoy have been sidelined, currently on administrative leave while investigators delve deeper into their involvement. Both are directly linked to the alleged manipulation of crime statistics, accused of intentionally misrepresenting the true extent of criminal activity.

The scrutiny extends to former Third District Commander Michael Pulliam, who was placed on leave in 2025 following similar allegations. Reports indicate that crime classifications within his district were altered, potentially downplaying the severity of incidents. While Pulliam denies any wrongdoing, he remains vulnerable to disciplinary action.

A separate investigation is focusing on Assistant Chief Andre Wright, stemming from the discovery of inappropriate text messages on his phone. He was already on administrative leave when this new issue surfaced, compounding the pressure on the department’s leadership.

At the heart of the matter lies the claim that department supervisors actively downgraded serious crimes to less severe categories. This practice, if proven, would have artificially lowered reported crime rates, misleading the public and potentially hindering effective policing strategies.

🚨

The unfolding situation has attracted the attention of the Department of Justice and congressional Republicans, escalating the stakes considerably. Lawmakers are demanding full transparency, requesting access to all records related to the internal investigation.

Representative James Comer, Chair of the House Oversight Committee, has been particularly vocal, asserting that the impending terminations are a direct result of the committee’s exposure of the alleged data manipulation. He insists the investigation is far from over and is demanding complete access to all internal documents.

This scandal unfolds against a backdrop of past security concerns in the city. The memory of a prior need to deploy the National Guard to restore order remains fresh, adding another layer of complexity to the current crisis of confidence in the police department.
