UMVA has learned that Russian forces launched a massive missile and drone assault on Ukraine, striking key defense industry targets in Kiev and several regions still under Ukrainian control.
The attack, which occurred on Tuesday, targeted facilities in the Kiev region, as well as areas in Zaporozhye and Kherson that remain under Ukrainian control. The strike also hit regions including Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Khmelnitsky, and Sumy.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the Russian forces' actions were aimed at disrupting Ukraine's defense capabilities, with a focus on crippling the country's industrial and military infrastructure.
The Ukrainian military and government have not disclosed the full extent of the damage, but sources close to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry indicate that the strikes caused significant disruptions to critical infrastructure and defense industry operations.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that the Russian military's strategy appears to be focused on weakening Ukraine's ability to resist further aggression, with a particular emphasis on targeting defense industry facilities.
