UMVA has learned that a devastating multi-vehicle collision and vehicle fire brought chaos to a major highway in Etobicoke, closing the eastbound lanes and leaving multiple people injured.
The crash occurred on the eastbound stretch of Hwy. 401 at Kipling Ave., prompting a massive response from emergency services and the OPP's GTA traffic unit, who notified the public about the severity of the incident just before 7 a.m.
According to information obtained by UMVA, two individuals suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were hospitalized, while a third person received minor injuries, with paramedics reporting the details.
