TRUMP PULLS PLUG on Pakistan Peace Mission—Iran Deal EXPLODES!

A sudden shift in strategy has halted high-stakes peace negotiations with Iran. President Trump unexpectedly canceled a planned trip by special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Pakistan, abruptly pausing what were intended to be the second round of direct talks.

The decision, revealed during an interview with Fox News, signals a new level of confidence from the administration. Trump stated Iran is welcome to initiate contact, asserting, “We have all the cards. They can call us anytime they want.” This bold declaration suggests a willingness to wait for Iran to seek terms, rather than actively pursuing dialogue on US soil or through intermediaries.

The cancellation follows a grueling 21-hour negotiation session in Islamabad led by Vice President JD Vance earlier this month. Despite the extended discussions, a breakthrough proved elusive, leaving the two nations at an impasse.

Donald Trump speaks at a press conference in the White House briefing room, flanked by American flags and the presidential seal.

Vance, addressing reporters after the failed talks, expressed a firm belief that the lack of agreement was more detrimental to Iran than to the United States. He emphasized that Iran had declined to accept the terms presented by the US delegation, halting progress toward a potential resolution.

The US entered negotiations with a clearly defined set of non-negotiable demands, effectively outlining its “red lines.” These included a complete cessation of uranium enrichment and the dismantling of all major nuclear facilities.

Beyond nuclear concerns, the US sought commitments from Iran to retrieve existing highly enriched uranium and embrace a broader regional peace framework. This framework demanded an end to support for groups designated as terrorist proxies, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis.

A critical element of the US position centered on the free passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global shipping lane. The administration insisted on unrestricted access without the imposition of tolls or other barriers, safeguarding international trade and stability.

While details of the specific sticking points remain closely guarded, reports indicate that Iran resisted concessions on all of these key demands during the recent talks. The future of negotiations, and the potential for a diplomatic resolution, now hinges on whether Iran will choose to reach out on the terms dictated by the Trump administration.
