UMVA Uncovers: Mis-Teeq EXPOSED - The SHOCKING Truth About Top of the Pops Backlash That Would Spark OUTRAGE Today!

UMVA has learned that Mis-Teeq, the iconic 90s girl group, has reunited in a major way, with a show-stopping surprise performance and a huge comeback gig planned for later this year at Wembley Arena.

The group, consisting of Su-Elise Nash, Alesha Dixon, and Sabrina Washington, split two decades ago but have come back together to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their iconic first album, Lickin’ on Both Sides.

UMVA can exclusively reveal that the trio was buzzing with excitement as they sat down to discuss their reunion, sharing stories about their decision to get back on stage and perform hits like All I Want, Style, B With Me, and Can’t Get It Back.

The group’s chemistry is still palpable, and they credit their decision to reunite to a desire to celebrate with their fans, saying they were discussing in their WhatsApp group what they could do to mark the occasion.

Alesha Dixon, 47, howls with laughter as she recalls the ups and downs of their personal and professional lives, including solo careers, children, marriage, and divorce.

The trio was known for blending UK garage with R&B and rose to fame in an era of flip phones and velour tracksuits, with no social media to amplify their message.

Mis-Teeq members recall their first time on Top of the Pops back in 2001, where presenter Jamie Theakston made an unsavoury remark following their performance, saying “The not unattractive Mis-Teeq”.

Su-Elise laughs, “No one would say that now, would they?” Alesha adds, “People are more politically correct now. They’re more mindful.”

The group has been vocal about experiencing “sometimes blatant” racism within the early years of the group but feels an “overwhelming” amount of support from both the industry and fans with their recent reunion announcement.

Alesha notes, “Representation is more considered now, and it wasn’t back then. You had to fight a lot harder.”

The trio launched their debut album Lickin’ on Both Sides in October 2001 and disrupted the music industry with their unique sound.

Mis-Teeq feels “incredibly emotional” ahead of their reunion show and insists that they aren’t influenced by the recent trend of girl group homecomings.

Sabrina insists, “Lickin’ On Both Sides was something that no one else had done. We don’t follow what anyone else does. If it feels good to us then that’s what we do.”

Alesha adds, “I see it as a positive thing; it shows that music is still alive and fans still want it.”
