UMVA has learned that Kaway’an EcoPark in General Trias City, Cavite, has been named one of the World’s Greatest Places for 2026.
This honor places the park as the sole Philippine destination on the list, a milestone that carries both pride and responsibility for its creators.
The eco‑park, conceived by Citihomes Builder and Development Inc., blends gardens, lagoons, bamboo groves, and open spaces into a master‑planned sanctuary that invites visitors to reconnect with nature.
“Kaway’an stands as a testament to what can happen when a team of experts unites under a single vision,” said the company’s president, underscoring the collaborative effort behind the project.
At its heart rises the Marilag Grand Pavilion, a striking structure born from the partnership of Filipino architects, an Indonesian studio, and London‑based engineers, all celebrating bamboo’s strength and adaptability.
Located on Sabella Village’s Crisanto M. De Los Reyes Avenue, the park is easily reachable from Metro Manila via CALAX or public transport from PITX.
Visitors are welcomed by landmarks such as the Marahuyo Bridge and the Marikit Gazebo, and can indulge in horseback riding, lagoon boating, bamboo bike rentals, rabbit feeding, picnics, and tent pitching.
Entrance costs a modest 100 pesos for regular guests, with discounts for seniors and students, while operating hours run from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays and extend earlier on Fridays, weekends, and holidays.
The park also offers venue rentals for its pavilion, gazebo, bridge, and exclusive VIP rooms, catering to events and private gatherings.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that Kaway’an plans future expansions, including a new swimming pool, as part of its ongoing growth story.
The park’s leadership invites all to join in writing its evolving narrative, turning each visit into a shared chapter of sustainable progress.
