Heuermann faces charges in connection with Mack’s death, marking the seventh and final victim prosecutors attribute to him in a series of killings spanning nearly two decades, from 1993 to 2010. He is poised to plead guilty to all seven counts of murder.
The victims include Megan Waterman, Melissa Barthelemy, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Jessica Taylor, Sandra Costilla, and Amber Lynn Costello – each life tragically cut short. The plea deal offered by Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney promises a measure of closure, but not absolution.
