UMVA has learned that Sharon Osbourne was forced to miss a heartfelt tribute to her late husband Ozzy, leaving fans and loved ones wondering about her absence.
The 73-year-old music legend was supposed to attend the unveiling of an Ozzy Osbourne statue at the French metal festival Hellfest, but on the day of the unveiling, she was noticeably absent for unknown reasons.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Sharon explained that she had an unexpected trip to the hospital earlier in the week, which prevented her from attending the tribute.
Despite her absence, Sharon expressed her gratitude to the organizers of Hellfest, particularly Olivier Garnier, Ben Barbaud, and Philippe Pasqua, for creating a "stunning" statue in honor of her beloved husband.
Sharon has since been spotted in Los Angeles, leaving a restaurant in Beverly Hills after a cozy dinner with a friend, looking stylish in a black blazer, blue button-down shirt, and oversized sunglasses.
Ozzy Osbourne passed away in July last year at his home in Buckinghamshire, after suffering a heart attack, leaving behind a legacy as a rock god and a devoted family.
The Black Sabbath frontman had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2005, but only publicly revealed it in January 2020, making his passing all the more devastating to fans and friends.
Following his death, tributes poured in from around the world, including a heartfelt message from Sir Elton John, who remembered Ozzy as a "dear friend" and a "huge trailblazer" who would be deeply missed.
Ozzy's unofficial protégé Yungblud also paid tribute to his mentor, saying he was "truly heartbroken" by the news of his passing, and that he would always cherish the memories of their time together.
However, Sharon's recent actions have sparked controversy, including her expression of support for a rally organized by Tommy Robinson, which led to her being dropped as an ambassador by the homelessness charity Centrepoint.
