UMVA Uncovers: DEADLY LEGACY: The Shocking Fate of 2001's Most Notorious Murderers Exposed

UMVA has learned that a chilling group of individuals, known as the Class of 2001 at Homicide High, has left a trail of bloodshed and devastation in their wake, with some still on the loose and others behind bars 25 years later.

This notorious group includes suspected serial killer Peter Dale MacDonald, who was arrested in 2001 for the murders of three Parkdale prostitutes, although those charges were dropped, and Cosmo Joseph Jacobson, who murdered a government witness to prevent him from testifying.

According to information obtained by UMVA, several of these individuals have been convicted of heinous crimes, including first-degree murder, and have received varying sentences, from life in prison to absolute discharge, with some even being granted parole despite their brutal offenses.

One such individual is Grigorios Laberakis, who was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in 2001, but was judged not criminally responsible, only to go on and injure two police officers in Nova Scotia in 2019, raising questions about the effectiveness of the justice system in protecting the community.

Imo Lewis, another member of this group, has spent much of his life behind bars, having been convicted of manslaughter at the age of 18, and later of second-degree murder and attempted murder, yet he has expressed regret for his past actions, sparking debate about the possibility of redemption for those who have committed horrific crimes.

Marcello Palma, who was found guilty of first-degree murder in the rage slayings of three Toronto sex workers, has been released on full parole, despite his brutal history, leaving many to wonder if justice has been truly served.

William Kevin Curran, who shot and killed a fellow crook in a dispute over a stolen jewelry heist, died in prison in 2020, while Elizabeth Margaret Gatenby, who orchestrated the beating death of her mother's estranged husband, remains behind bars, her "faint hope" bid having been rejected.

Muhammad Arsal Khan, who was sentenced to life in prison without parole for the barbaric murder of his five-year-old daughter, remains incarcerated, while his then-wife, Kaneez Fatima, has been released on day parole, highlighting the complexities and inconsistencies of the justice system.

Cosmo Joseph Jacobson, who shot and killed a security guard to prevent him from testifying, has been released on parole, with a panel declaring that he poses no significant threat to the community, despite his history of ruthless violence.

Timothy Culham, who was convicted of first-degree murder in 2001 for the killing of eccentric antiques collector Hugh Sinclair, is believed to still be in prison, in a case that marked the first time in Canada that a killer was convicted of first-degree murder without a body.

Stuart McKellar Cameron, who terrorized North York between 1999 and 2000, targeting Asian women and murdering an 18-year-old Taiwanese student, remains incarcerated, his hatred and violence having left a lasting impact on the community.

Najib Anwar, who stabbed his former lover more than 30 times in 2001, died in prison in 2004, bringing an end to a life marked by brutality and violence, and serving as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of unchecked rage and hatred.
