SHARON OSBOURNE EXPOSED: Marching With the Far-Right—Kneecap Called It!

SHARON OSBOURNE EXPOSED: Marching With the Far-Right—Kneecap Called It!

Sharon Osbourne, a figure familiar to many, has announced her intention to participate in an anti-immigration march organized by Tommy Robinson. This decision arrives as yet another instance of a public personality openly aligning with far-right ideologies.

Robinson himself recently proclaimed the May 16 protest as a pivotal moment for Britain, a time for the nation to “rise and reunite.” Osbourne, who has resided in the United States for over two decades, responded to his post with a simple, declarative statement: “See you at the march.”

This move has ignited a predictable firestorm of reaction, but for Belfast-based rap group Kneecap, it feels like a long-awaited vindication. Their previous clash with Osbourne now appears strikingly prescient.

Last year, following a Coachella performance featuring messages of support for Palestine, Osbourne publicly demanded the revocation of Kneecap’s visas. She accused them of projecting “anti-Israel messages and hate speech,” a claim the band vehemently refuted.

Kneecap responded with pointed critique, suggesting Osbourne listen to her husband Ozzy’s band, Black Sabbath, and their song “War Pigs.” Osbourne then appeared on a YouTube program known for its conservative viewpoints, dismissing the band as “little people” and questioning the intelligence of their manager.

She expressed concern that Kneecap was “inciting violence” before young audiences, labeling them “uneducated” and suggesting they emulate Bono’s approach to political messaging – a suggestion revealing a lack of contemporary thought.

It’s a jarring contradiction: Osbourne, so quick to condemn perceived hate speech, now stands in solidarity with Robinson, a figure permanently banned from major social media platforms for repeatedly violating their hate speech policies.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, cited Robinson’s posts calling for violence against Muslims, his association with extremist groups, and his public praise of hate figures as justification for the ban. Osbourne’s alignment with him raises serious questions about her sincerity.

Robinson’s record extends beyond online rhetoric; he has multiple convictions for offenses ranging from assault to fraud. This association exposes a clear hypocrisy in Osbourne’s public stance. Her issue with Kneecap wasn’t about the manner of their message, but the message itself.

Osbourne appears unwilling to engage with perspectives that challenge her own beliefs, even going so far as to downplay reports of suffering in Gaza. A constructive dialogue with her is, quite simply, impossible.

She will join Robinson’s march, a demonstration intended to “bring London to a standstill” and rally against the fabricated enemies favored by the far-right. It’s a performance that seems detached from reality, and one that many see through.

Kneecap’s foresight has been starkly confirmed. The band was even subjected to legal action by the British government, accused of supporting a proscribed organization – a case that was ultimately dismissed, and then unsuccessfully appealed.

It took a year, but Kneecap has been unequivocally proven right about both Osbourne and the willingness of the British state to target them. Those who resort to bullying often mask their own insecurities, and Osbourne has now revealed her true colors.

At Tommy Robinson’s march, she will confront the reality of the hard right in Britain – a reality she may find deeply unsettling. Her actions have spoken volumes, and the world is listening.
