A large crowd gathered outside a block of flats in Glasgow's Castlemilk, sparking a tense standoff with police.
Several livestreams on social media broadcast the protest, showing furious residents shouting at police as they attempted to gain entry to the home of an alleged sex attacker.
The unrest comes after a similar protest in Cranhill on Tuesday night, where one man was arrested following clashes with police.
The Cranhill protest began around 3pm in response to news of two men who were charged with raping a woman on the morning of May 31.
Jebril Abdelrahman, 19, has been charged with rape, while Denison Charles, 20, was charged with assault. Two other men were arrested and released with no charges.
A 50-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with police assault during the Cranhill protest.
Police Scotland has emphasized the importance of lawful protest and warned that violence, disorder, hate crime, and threatening behaviour pose a risk to safety.
Enquiries are ongoing into a vandalism incident and a rock thrown from the crowd during the incident.
The police spokesperson stated that policing in Scotland has strong relationships with the public, and they are grateful for the ongoing support of their communities.
