A New Jersey rideshare driver is behind bars after authorities say he targeted Princeton University students, harassing them and trying to lure them into his car for sex. The suspect, 28-year-old Dimario Wynter, now faces charges of harassment, luring, and disorderly conduct.
The nightmare began on a quiet April afternoon. A female student was walking along Prospect Avenue when a black Jeep Patriot pulled up. The driver asked for directions—then handed her a crisp $100 bill and stepped out of the vehicle.
Before she could react, he rushed toward her and demanded a sexual act. The terrified student dropped the cash and sprinted away, leaving the predator behind.
The very next morning, another Princeton student became a target. Around 9:30 a.m., she was walking on Ivy Lane when a dark van or SUV pulled over, the driver again asking for directions. This time, the suspect fled before anything further happened—but the pattern was clear.
Investigators quickly linked the two incidents and identified Wynter. They also discovered he worked as a rideshare driver—a chilling detail that suggests he may have used his job to stalk victims.
Wynter was arrested on April 30. He has since been released pending future court appearances. The rideshare company confirmed the driver was permanently removed from its platform as soon as the allegations surfaced.
