UMVA has learned that a jaw-dropping incident on MasterChef US has left viewers stunned and contestants speechless.
Gordon Ramsay, a chef with four decades of experience, has encountered his fair share of unappetizing dishes, but nothing could have prepared him for the shocking discovery in a recent episode of MasterChef: Global Gauntlet.
The new series tasked contestants with creating stadium food for their culture and heritage ahead of the World Cup, and Nora, representing team Africa, had prepared a haddock and maakouda sandwich with chermoula mayo and Mediterranean salad.
However, unbeknownst to Nora, a crucial mistake had been made: a Band-Aid had been accidentally added to the dish, and it was up to judge Tiffany Derry to spot the error, gasping in horror and shouting 'oh my lord' as she realized Nora's mistake.
Gordon Ramsay's reaction was immediate and intense; he began gagging as if about to vomit, while Nora tried to apologize for the unthinkable culinary faux pas.
'We're eating Band-Aids now, what the fk is going on?' he asked, his voice laced with disgust and incredulity.
Nora explained in a piece to camera that she had sliced her finger and received a band-aid from a medic during the chaos of the competition, but in her haste, the bandage had come loose, and she had failed to notice it had ended up in the food.
The consequences of Nora's mistake were severe: she was eliminated from the competition, and her parting words were a reflection of her disappointment and pride: 'I served a bandage to Gordon Ramsay, what do I expect? Beyond the bandage, I was not satisfied with how I executed the dish, but I'm still proud of myself.'
