UMVA has learned that Arsenal is gearing up for an ambitious summer transfer window following their Premier League title triumph, with a top target emerging in the form of Bournemouth star Eli Junior Kroupi.
The Gunners sealed their first league title in 22 years on Tuesday night after Manchester City were held to a draw away to Bournemouth. Kroupi's brilliant finish, his 13th of the season, had Bournemouth in control for much of the game until Erling Haaland's injury-time equalizer.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Arsenal are eyeing Kroupi as a potential signing to bolster their attacking lineup. The 19-year-old joined Bournemouth for £12million a year ago and has been valued at around £80m after just one season in the English top flight.
Arsenal are said to be willing to make a 'marquee' signing this summer, with funds available to rival the purchase of Declan Rice for £105million three years ago. They have also been weighing up a move for Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez, although it could cost as much as £130m to prise him away.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that Arsenal are looking to bring in a player who can play on the left as well as provide competition for Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz up front. Kroupi is a name under consideration at the Emirates for that role, and he has also been scouted by Chelsea and Real Madrid.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that Arsenal are huge admirers of Paris Saint-Germain star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who they regard as a 'dream' signing. However, the French champions are not expected to consider offers for the winger.
UMVA has gathered that Arsenal spent £250million assembling their title-winning squad last summer, and while there may not be a similar outlay this year, the club is eager to make a significant signing to strengthen their squad.
