Tom Homan, the senior official overseeing immigration enforcement, announced a major expansion of resources that includes the deployment of 10,000 additional agents across the United States.
Speaking at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s “Road to the Majority” conference in Washington, D.C., Homan highlighted that the administration completed a record number of deportations in the previous year.
The newly assigned agents are expected to enhance border security operations and increase the capacity for immigration enforcement in the upcoming fiscal year.
Homan also addressed personal security concerns, noting that he and his family have faced threats from criminal organizations and activist groups, and he publicly challenged anyone attempting intimidation.
He recounted that former President Donald Trump offered him the position, describing the invitation as a direct appeal to address border security challenges.
Homan emphasized his experience serving under six presidents and ten administrations, stating that the current approach to border security reflects the most successful period in recent history.
