Nigel Farage is scheduled to contest the Clacton by‑election on August 13 against comedian Count Binface and a candidate known as the human fox.
Major Westminster parties have chosen to boycott the vote, describing Farage’s candidacy as a political stunt.
The election was originally set for August 6 but has been postponed to August 13 by local authorities.
Candidates may submit nominations between July 14 and July 17, while residents of the constituency who are not yet on the electoral register must do so by July 28.
The returning officer has reminded voters that registration and valid identification are required to participate in the election.
Farage previously held a majority of 8,405 and 46.2% of the vote in 2024 before resigning as an MP amid scrutiny over a £5 million donation from a Reform donor and alleged support from a known fraudster.
An investigation into whether he failed to declare the donation has been suspended due to his resignation but will resume if he wins the by‑election.
If the investigation concludes that he breached parliamentary rules and imposes a suspension exceeding ten days, a recall petition could be triggered, potentially leading to a second by‑election.
