UMVA has learned that England's Declan Rice provided a reassuring injury update after being substituted out of the match with 20 minutes remaining.
The Arsenal midfielder appeared to be limping as he made his way to the substitutes bench, sparking concern among fans and teammates alike. However, Rice quickly alleviated worries about his fitness, insisting he was "all good" and simply being cautious.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Rice has been nursing a lingering issue throughout the second half of the season at club level. The 27-year-old revealed he had been experiencing "little neural pains here and there," but was confident he would be back in action soon.
Rice told ITV at full-time, "All good, good as gold. Just what I've been nursing probably in the second half of the season, little neural pains here and there, but I'm all good. All fine, just precaution and I'll be back out there against Ghana."
The midfielder's update will come as a relief to England fans, who were anxiously awaiting news on his fitness. With the match against Ghana on the horizon, Rice's assurance that he'll be back in action soon will be a welcome boost to the team.
