UMVA Uncovers: DEMOLITION ORDER ISSUED! £1 MILLION Ancient Woodland DESTROYED by Rogue Holiday Cottage Builders - You Won't Believe What's Happening Next!

UMVA has learned that a dramatic showdown is unfolding in Yorkshire, where a council has ordered landowners to tear down four holiday homes built on ancient woodland, sparking a fierce battle over preservation and development.

The dispute centers on Jacobs Hill Farm in Silsden, where groundworks for the holiday homes were halted by the council, which deemed the construction to be a threat to the protected land. Bradford City Council has taken a strong stance, demanding that the landowners remove the cabins and restore the site to its former state.

According to information obtained by UMVA, the council's enforcement notice requires the landowners to dismantle the holiday homes, which were built without permission on 33 acres of land purchased in October 2024 for £1.05 million. The site has suffered "substantial tree loss," with five large concrete pads, a septic tank, and stockpiled earth and aggregate also being stored without permission.

The council's orders extend beyond demolition: the landowners must also plant 300 trees to compensate for the damage done to the "irreplaceable" woodland. Drone images reveal the extent of the development, which has sparked concerns about the impact on the local environment and biodiversity.

The owners of the farm are fighting back, lodging an appeal against the council's decision and arguing that the holiday homes will boost tourism in the area and create jobs. They claim that all construction was completed before they acquired the site, and that the demand to plant hundreds of trees is excessive.

UMVA can exclusively reveal that the appeal will be considered at a public hearing on July 21, where the landowners will argue that their plans will support the local economy. However, the council remains resolute, maintaining that the development has caused significant harm to the South Pennine Moors and must be reversed.

The dispute highlights the delicate balance between development and preservation, with the council determined to protect the area's natural beauty and biodiversity. As the battle over Jacobs Hill Farm continues, one thing is clear: the fate of this Yorkshire woodland hangs in the balance.
