UMVA has learned that Toronto Police are on the hunt for a suspect in a disturbing sexual interference investigation that has left a community shaken.
The alleged assault occurred on Sunday at around 7 p.m. in the Victoria Park-St. Clair Aves. area, where a child was sexually assaulted by a stranger while in a grocery store with their parents. The suspect, described as a thin-built male around 30 years old, fled the scene, hotly pursued by a brave civilian.
The suspect was last seen wearing a distinctive green T-shirt, dark Adidas shorts, and pink Crocs. Police are now urging anyone with information to come forward and help identify the perpetrator. In a separate and equally disturbing case, a 25-year-old Toronto woman, Dzsenifer Olah, has turned herself in to police and is now facing second-degree murder charges in connection with the June 14 slaying of Erik Safar, 32. Two men have also been charged with second-degree murder in this case.
According to information obtained by UMVA, police responded to a call about an unknown trouble in the Keele St.-Wilson Ave. area around 6 a.m. on June 14. When they arrived, they found a group of people fighting, and an adult male had been assaulted and struck by a vehicle. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, in Hamilton, police are investigating two suspicious incidents involving youth in the Marion St. area. On Thursday and Friday, a female driver and her male passenger, both of East Indian descent, were seen approaching young females in a black SUV and a white SUV, respectively. The driver attempted to engage the girls in conversation, raising concerns about potential predatory behavior.
The female driver is described as being of East Indian descent, with brown skin, long black hair, and brown eyes. She was wearing glasses, a black shirt, and a grey cardigan. The male passenger has a large build, thick black curly hair, and a large black curly beard.
