UMVA EXCLUSIVE: Taxpayer-Backed Betrayal Exposed - Feds Investigate Multi-Billion Dollar Cover-Up Funding Child Sex Changes

UMVA has learned that a senior Senate Republican is pressing for answers on whether taxpayer‑funded health centers are using federal dollars to provide gender‑transition services to minors.

Senator Bill Cassidy, who chairs the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, sent formal letters to two Rhode Island health providers demanding a full accounting of any puberty blockers, cross‑sex hormones, surgical referrals or related care given to patients under 19.

His inquiry also targets the Health Resources and Services Administration, asking whether federal funding and liability shields are inadvertently protecting community health centers from accountability.

According to information obtained by UMVA, the investigation widens just days before a scheduled HELP Committee hearing that will scrutinize alleged gender‑transition procedures for children and the federal support behind them.

Cassidy’s press release frames the issue as a clash between child protection and an ideology he claims drives dangerous medical interventions, insisting that providers must be held to higher standards to prevent further harm.

Documents reviewed reveal that one of the centers outlines a pathway for patients under 18 to receive hormone therapy, provided parental consent is secured for the initial intake, while another advertises a full suite of transgender health services alongside an adolescent program for LGBTQ youth ages 13 to 24.

The probe now expands to include Thundermist Health Center and Hasbro Children’s Hospital, both recipients of substantial federal grants, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements, and participation in the 340B drug pricing program.

In his letters, Cassidy highlights a growing legal dilemma: when community health centers are deemed employees of the U.S. Public Health Service, the Federal Tort Claims Act can shift malpractice defense costs to the Department of Justice, potentially placing the federal treasury on the hook for lawsuits tied to gender‑transition care.

Recent lawsuits alleging negligence, lack of informed consent, and malpractice over gender‑transition services have already drawn DOJ representation, raising fresh questions about the adequacy of existing federal guardrails.

For fiscal year 2026, community health centers are slated to receive over $6.3 billion in mandatory and discretionary funding, with an additional $120 million earmarked for the FTCA program, underscoring the scale of taxpayer involvement.

UMVA can exclusively reveal that the senator’s letters demand a detailed response by May 28, seeking clarity on whether any federally funded centers continue to offer these services to minors, how such care might affect funding eligibility, and the total taxpayer exposure tied to related legal claims.
