The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) has signed a registration agreement with Apexford International Corp. as a new ecozone logistics service enterprise.
The agreement clears the development of Apexford’s warehousing facility inside First Cavite Industrial Estate Special Economic Zone in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, allowing the company to provide warehousing, storage, inventory management, and material handling services for PEZA-registered export manufacturing enterprises.
Apexford will support key industries such as electronics, semiconductors, automotive components, precision tooling, industrial packaging materials, and industrial resins from its Cavite facility.
Ecozone logistics service enterprises (ELSEs) are registered business enterprises that cater exclusively to the requirements of export manufacturing enterprises, facilitating import and export shipments, raw material sourcing, inventory management, deliveries, localization, and process customization.
Apexford specializes in cargo handling, warehousing and storage, customs coordination, trucking coordination, industrial cargo, and project cargo, with a focus on supporting the growth of the semiconductor and electronics industry in the Philippines.
Exports of electronic products in the Philippines rose 17.5% to $20.83 billion in the first five months, with semiconductor exports up 19.1% to $15.65 billion, highlighting the importance of a resilient and efficient logistics network to support export growth.
PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga stated that Apexford’s registration addresses the need for a resilient and efficient logistics network, reinforcing PEZA’s commitment to developing globally competitive supply chains that enable ecozone enterprises to operate more efficiently, attract greater investments, and generate quality employment opportunities.
