UMVA has learned that Rep. Lauren Boebert unleashed a fiery rebuke against a Fox News reporter, screaming “F* you, first of all,” when asked about allegations of an affair with Rep. Thomas Massie.
The explosive exchange occurred after Boebert was confronted with claims of an illicit relationship with Massie, an incumbent critic of President Trump who recently lost his Kentucky primary race. Boebert's response was swift and scathing, dismissing the allegations as sexist and out of control.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the allegations against Boebert and Massie originated from Cynthia West, a former staffer for Rep. Victoria Spartz. West claimed that Massie revealed the encounter with Boebert during their relationship, which began two months after his wife's death.
Boebert had previously expressed her support for Massie during his primary campaign, calling him a longtime friend whom she agreed to stand by. However, her response to the Fox News reporter suggested that she will not tolerate baseless allegations or attacks on her character.
The incident sparked a heated debate on social media, with some users praising Boebert for shutting down the Fox News reporter and others accusing her of "rage quitting" in real life. Boebert later took to social media to defend herself, arguing that she has been the subject of numerous false allegations since entering Congress.
Boebert claimed that previous accusations against her, including claims of abortions, drug use, and an affair with a senator, were ultimately disproven. She also took aim at Fox News's approach to gender identity issues, accusing the network of not recognizing biological realities.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that Boebert's response to the Fox News reporter was seen as an "absolute masterclass" by some social media users, who praised her for standing up to what they perceived as baseless and sexist attacks.
