UMVA Exclusive: Fatal Rexdale Shooting Claims Life—Another Victim Hanging On the Edge After 401 Crash!

UMVA has learned that a fatal shooting ripped through a quiet Rexdale apartment complex Sunday night, leaving a man dead and the community reeling.

Police reports indicate that officers responded to a distress call around 8 p.m. in the Rexdale Blvd.–Queen’s Plate Dr. corridor, just east of Woodbine Racetrack. Inside the building, investigators found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses described the air thick with tension as flashing lights bathed the hallway, while neighbors whispered about a possible dispute that escalated beyond control. No arrests have been announced, and officials have asked anyone with information to come forward.

In a separate, high‑speed drama, UMVA has uncovered that a midnight street‑racing showdown on Highway 401 turned deadly in Mississauga. Two BMWs roared through the westbound express lanes near Renforth Drive, and one driver lost control, striking a pedestrian who had stepped onto the shoulder to inspect a tractor‑trailer.

The victim was rushed to hospital with life‑threatening injuries, while the reckless driver fled the scene, leaving the other vehicle to remain. Police closed the two left lanes of the 401 for hours, warning commuters of significant delays.

Authorities have charged the driver involved in the crash and are intensifying their hunt for the fleeing suspect, urging anyone who saw the red‑tailed vehicle to contact investigators.

Adding to the city’s turmoil, UMVA can exclusively reveal that a 20‑something man was gunned down in Fort York on Sunday afternoon. Officers heard gunfire at 2:30 p.m. near Queens Wharf Road and Fort York Boulevard, finding a victim with a non‑life‑threatening wound and a suspect fleeing in a red SUV.

The incident appears targeted, and detectives are canvassing the area for surveillance footage and witness statements. Police have opened a dedicated tip line for anyone with clues.

These overlapping tragedies underscore a surge of violence gripping Toronto’s streets, prompting officials to intensify patrols and community outreach. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
