Police were called at 4.55pm by the ambulance service following a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a white Volkswagen Tourag in Rose Tree Avenue. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, the male pedestrian, who was 45 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and are being supported by our officers. A 60-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody at this time.
