Arsenal and Liverpool are reluctantly prepared to sign the 18-year-old midfielder and loan him back to Lille for the entire 2026/27 campaign. The French club believes another year of regular first-team football would be best for the player’s development. His huge potential makes the gamble of signing him and loaning him back to Lille understandable, as elite teenage midfielders with this level of experience rarely become available.
However, the fee must reflect his delayed arrival, as paying a superstar price and then waiting a year would represent a major financial risk.
