The United States has launched strikes against Iranian military targets, including missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, in response to Iran's alleged violations of a ceasefire agreement.
President Trump warned that Iran may face military action if it continues to disregard the agreement, stating that "there may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started."
He added that if that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran "will no longer exist," as US aircraft struck Iranian targets in response to the country's failure to honor the ceasefire agreement.
The US military conducted additional strikes against Iranian targets after the country launched a drone attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, despite being given a chance to honor the ceasefire agreement.
According to a statement from US Central Command, the strikes targeted "multiple targets in Iran" and included US military aircraft targeting Iranian military surveillance infrastructure, communication systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities, and minelayer capabilities.
The situation remains tense, with the US warning that Iran may face further military action if it continues to disregard the ceasefire agreement.
