DAD'S KILLER INSTINCT: Mom DEMANDS Justice After Daughter's Tragic Death!

DAD'S KILLER INSTINCT: Mom DEMANDS Justice After Daughter's Tragic Death!

A mother’s relentless pursuit of justice continues, fueled by a heartbreaking loss and a growing conviction that her daughter’s death was not the accident it was portrayed to be. Jane Coates is determined to reopen the investigation into the shooting of her 23-year-old daughter, Lucy Harrison, in Texas.

Lucy was fatally shot in the chest by her father, Kris Harrison, at his home in Prosper, Texas, on January 10, 2025. The initial investigation centered on whether the shooting constituted manslaughter, but a US grand jury declined to indict Mr. Harrison, leaving Lucy’s family devastated and searching for answers.

The case has gained renewed attention following a coroner’s inquest in Cheshire, England, which ruled Lucy’s death as a result of “reckless” actions. This finding has ignited a fresh wave of hope for Coates, who believes it will compel Texas authorities to reconsider the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

Coates speaks of Lucy with profound love and a fierce determination to honor her daughter’s spirit. She believes Lucy, a passionate advocate for truth and justice, would want her to fight for change and demand accountability.

Mr. Harrison initially claimed the gun discharged accidentally, stating he had shown it to Lucy at her request and it “just went off.” However, Lucy’s family vehemently disputes this account, asserting she was strongly opposed to firearms and would never have asked to see a gun.

CCTV footage surfaced showing Harrison’s immediate account to police, reinforcing his claim of an accidental discharge. Yet, those who knew Lucy intimately paint a different picture, one of a young woman deeply concerned about gun safety and the dangers they posed.

The family’s grief is compounded by concerns over Texas gun laws, which allowed Mr. Harrison to purchase the Glock 9mm pistol without a license under the guise of self-defense. This legal loophole, they argue, contributed to the tragic outcome.

Lucy had traveled to Texas with her boyfriend, Sam Littler, to celebrate Christmas. Their visit was marred by a heated argument between Lucy and her father regarding political views, specifically Donald Trump, shortly before the shooting occurred.

The inquest revealed that despite police suspecting Mr. Harrison had been drinking – noting the smell of alcohol on his breath – they failed to administer a breathalyzer test. This oversight has further fueled Coates’s belief that the investigation was inadequate.

The coroner’s conclusion emphasized the profound loss of a young life full of promise. Lucy, described as vibrant and beautiful, had a strong moral compass and a willingness to challenge injustice, qualities her mother now carries forward in her fight for answers.

Coates believes her daughter was failed – not only by the actions of her father, but by the laws and decisions of the Texan authorities. She is determined to ensure Lucy’s death is not in vain, and that changes are made to prevent similar tragedies from occurring.

The pain of Lucy’s loss remains raw, but her mother’s unwavering commitment to seeking justice serves as a powerful testament to the enduring bond between them and a desperate plea for truth.
