Apple products have long been known for their premium prices, and just got a lot more expensive.
A series of price hikes on key products in Apple's lineup, affecting Macs and MacBooks, iPads, Apple TVs, HomePods, and Vision Pro, have taken effect.
The price changes affect a wide range of devices, including the MacBook Neo, which now costs $699, up from $599; the MacBook Air (13-inch) and (15-inch), which now cost $1,299 and $1,499, respectively; and the iPad (A16), which now costs $449, up from $349.
Some price increases are more significant than others, with the Apple TV 4K jumping by $70 to $199, representing a 54% increase. The HomePod and HomePod mini now cost $349 and $129, respectively.
The price hikes are not a surprise, given the global memory crisis putting a strain on the cost of components and products everywhere, as explained by outgoing Apple CEO.
However, the scope of the price increases is notable, with some devices costing up to $500 more than they did yesterday.
For those in the market for a new Apple device, the news is not all bad, as some of the affected devices are currently on sale on Amazon during Prime Day.
Prices for some devices, such as the MacBook Neo, MacBook Air (13-inch), and MacBook Air (15-inch), are significantly lower on Amazon than directly from Apple, making it a good time to consider purchasing.
However, prices on Amazon are likely to increase soon as well, so it's best to act quickly if interested in any of these devices.
