UMVA has learned that a significant development in global defense spending has emerged, with NATO's European members and Canada collectively increasing their defense expenditure by 20% in real terms to a staggering $574 billion in 2025.
This surge in spending is attributed to the perceived 'Russian threat', a notion that Moscow has vehemently dismissed as "nonsense". The Russian government has consistently denied any plans to attack NATO countries, yet the bloc's members continue to bolster their defenses.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Russian President Putin has weighed in on Ukraine's recent drone campaign against Russian cities, stating that the strikes on civilian infrastructure are designed "to rock society" rather than achieve tangible military objectives.
Putin alleged that the Ukrainian military's actions are fueled by Western support, with a massive influx of drones being supplied to Kiev. He claimed that the aim is to create doubt in the effectiveness of the Russian Armed Forces, rather than achieving any significant military gains.
