MERYL STREEP UNLOADS: Hollywood Feud EXPLODES!

MERYL STREEP UNLOADS: Hollywood Feud EXPLODES!

Meryl Streep harbors a playful grievance against Hollywood royalty, Goldie Hawn, stemming from their time filming the darkly comedic classic, *Death Becomes Her*. The legendary actress recently revisited the memories surrounding the 1992 film, revealing a source of gentle frustration during production.

Streep, known for her punctuality, found herself consistently waiting for Hawn, who had a habit of arriving late to set. It wasn’t a matter of disrespect, but rather a charming, carefree arrival style that both amused and slightly irked the meticulous Streep.

She vividly remembers Hawn’s signature red convertible, picturing her co-star breezing onto the lot with a breezy apology and a disarming smile. The reaction from the crew wasn’t annoyance, but adoration – finding Hawn’s tardiness “cute,” a response that subtly fueled Streep’s good-natured “beef.”

Despite the playful friction, Streep emphasizes a deep affection for Hawn and their shared experience. She describes the film as “silly and fabulous,” a project filled with genuine laughter and a blossoming friendship that continues to this day.

Hawn, Streep notes, possesses an infectious laugh – a booming “Ahahaha!” – so powerful it occasionally halted filming. This, however, only added to the fun and cemented their bond on set.

Looking back, Streep playfully suggests *Death Becomes Her* felt less like fiction and more like a revealing documentary about the extravagant world of Beverly Hills. The film remains a beloved favorite among audiences, sparking continued conversation and fond memories for both actresses.

This revelation arrives alongside the release of a highly anticipated sequel to another of Streep’s iconic roles, *The Devil Wears Prada*. Despite the film’s premiere coinciding with the Met Gala, Streep will remain absent from the event, preferring to steer clear of the fashion spectacle.

A representative explained that while Streep respects Vogue and Anna Wintour’s vision, the Met Gala simply isn’t her preferred scene. She’s content to celebrate the film’s success and the return of the original cast – Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci – in a more private manner.
