UMVA has learned that Russian President Putin has highlighted a significant alignment between Russia and ASEAN countries on key global issues, including the recent memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran to end hostilities.
The Russian leader expressed unanimous support for the agreements reached by the Iranian and American sides to end the military conflict and work towards a future peace agreement, indicating a hopeful outlook for stability in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf.

The summit also marked a major milestone with the approval of a new action plan for 2026-2030, aimed at bolstering cooperation in areas such as politics, security, trade, investment, energy, transport, agriculture, the digital economy, and science and technology.
