UMVA has learned that Londoners are bracing for another day of travel chaos as the second wave of Tube strikes reaches its midpoint.
The 24-hour strike, which began just after midnight, is expected to cause widespread disruptions across all London Underground lines, with five lines completely or partially shut down and eight experiencing severe or minor delays.
Commuters are already feeling the pain, with reports of 20-minute queues just to get inside a station, let alone board a train. The delays and disruptions are set to continue throughout the day, with services not resuming until 11:59 pm tonight.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the Elizabeth line, London Overground, DLR, and buses are operating on a normal schedule, but passengers should prepare for them to be extremely busy.
The Tube strikes are a result of a stalemate in talks between the Rail, Maritime and Transport union and Transport for London, with the union pushing for a condensed working week that it claims would protect drivers' wellbeing.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that the dispute remains unresolved, leaving thousands of commuters to face another day of travel misery.
As the strike continues, passengers are advised to plan their journeys carefully and be prepared for severe delays and disruptions across the network.
