The 24-year-old model's Love Island experience has come to a premature end, with Gabriel Garland leaving the show after a short stint.
It's reported that two contestants had an altercation with Garland before Mazzer stabbed them, leading to a dramatic departure from the show.
Garland was not charged with any offenses, and his mother, Joanne, provided a character statement for him in court, while Mazzer was sentenced to three and a half years in jail, with his conviction being upheld after an appeal was denied in April 2024.
When approached for comment, ITV stated that Garland has left the villa and will not be returning, with no further information being provided.
Garland's exit has sparked concerns about the show's background checks, with viewers calling for improvements after another contestant, George Knight, left the show prematurely just days ago.
Knight cited personal reasons for his departure, specifically mentioning a family member's health issues, but it later emerged that he had also been asked to leave the programme due to using a slur.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, with no plans to replace Garland in the upcoming episodes.
