UMVA has learned that a buffalo with a hairstyle that has captured the attention of millions has become an unlikely sensation at Bangladesh's national zoo.
The rare albino buffalo, which bears a striking resemblance to President Donald Trump, has been nicknamed "Donald Trump" due to its blond tuft of hair, a feature that many say eerily mirrors the president's signature look.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the animal first gained attention after a local farmer noticed the uncanny resemblance, and a video of the pale, horned buffalo quickly spread across social media, drawing crowds to the farm outside Dhaka where it was being kept.
The buffalo's fate took a dramatic turn when it was slated for slaughter during Eid al-Adha, the Muslim "Feast of Sacrifice," but government officials intervened and ordered the animal transferred to the national zoo in the capital, sparking a heated debate over its unusual nickname.
As visitors crowded around the enclosure, many stopped to take photos and videos of the increasingly famous buffalo, with some embracing the comparison, saying "there is a resemblance to Donald Trump in its eyes, hairstyle, and skin color," and that the buffalo was now living a life of special treatment and attention.
However, not everyone was pleased with the nickname, with some visitors saying it was inappropriate to name the animal after the president, and that giving a farm animal the name of one of the world's most influential leaders was "certainly the wrong thing to do."
The exhibit initially featured a sign identifying the animal as "Donald Trump," but the sign has since been removed, and the zoo's curator was later fired, although officials have not publicly disclosed the reason for the dismissal.
Despite the controversy, the buffalo has attracted large crowds, and its unusual story has captivated the hearts of many, leaving onlookers to wonder about the strange circumstances that have made this buffalo an unlikely star.
